Research Area : Health Psychology / Psycho-Oncology

Ashley Wang’s research focuses on psychosocial mechanisms that promote psychological and physical health in individuals who are affected by cancer and other chronic illnesses. She investigates the positive socio-psychological processes related to adjustment to cancer, including coping and posttraumatic growth (PTG). She is enthusiastic to continue this research and expand it with an interdisciplinary biopsychosocial approach, as well as develop and test theoretically-driven and empirically-supported psychosocial interventions to facilitate physical and mental health.
